Youtube, come share your stories of life with diabetes!

We are cranking up our Youtube channel as we believe sharing stories of life with diabetes (and just life itself really), is helpful for so many people – the person who tells their story and all the people who watch it. We will be adding stories from our community and are calling for YOU to join us!

All you need to do is film any aspect at all of your life with diabetes. It may be something diabetes related, such as the story of your diagnosis and/or your journey since; A day In the Life, where you film some moments from your day with diabetes; what it is like from the parent or family perspective; a recipe you can share of you cooking and enjoying; something from your life that is not related to diabetes at all; a lifestyle piece such as gardening, what you did on the weekend, or a fave cafe you go to. The only limit is your imagination!

Guidelines

1) Diabetes Counselling Online (DCO) reserves the right to edit and remove any video

2) Our editorial team will decide what is suitable to add to our Youtube channel and there are no guarantees of any submitted video being included. We will let you know whether or not we will publish and when.

3) We will edit, add a title and a credit slide, but if you wish to do so yourself please add your preferred title and the DCO logo, as well as the acknowledgement “This Project is Funded by the Australian Government as part of the Chronic Disease Prevention and Service Improvement Fund”

4) Please keep the video to around 2 – 5 minutes but no more than 10 minutes, or create a series if you would like to share more!

5) You can sit and use your webcam, just set yourself in a well lit area and talk to camera. This is a nice way to share your story – have a look on our Youtube channel for ideas. Or you may prefer to film “on the move” as you go through your day, or when you are out and about, or ask someone to film you. We do not expect professional standards!

Please fill out the form below to register interest in sharing your video.

We will be in touch soon to invite you to our Youtube Drop Box folder, so you can share to that folder and we can then download and edit as needed!
