Beneficiaries

Diabetes Counselling Online Inc is registered to fundraise for charitable purposes.

People with diabetes may suffer many serious potential complications such as blindness, kidney failure, nerve damage, heart attack, stroke and early death. Life with diabetes is relentless and unforgiving. It is a difficult disease, requiring the person to make management decisions throughout every day of their life in order to try and reduce the risk of these complications. Rates of depression and reduced wellbeing are higher in the population living with diabetes – both type 1 and type 2.

It is our goal to enable people with diabetes to better manage their condition and live healthier and happier lives. Most of us know someone living with diabetes and diabetes affects us all.

At Diabetes Counselling Online we have only one form of beneficiary, namely people who utilise our counselling and support services – people with diabetes and their families.

The Board of Directors of Diabetes Counselling Online Inc and all of our counsellors consist of individuals with a direct connection with diabetes. As such, the board members and counselling team have vested interest in ensuring all funds raised are correctly utilised for people with diabetes.

We thank you for your interest in our organisation and the work we do and look forward to talking with you about how you might become involved.
