I have an ongoing battle with weight in my later years and the experts appear not to listen to me when I try to tell them my life and family history. My ancestors were short and stocky with big chests, my grandfather was 5 feet tall and I am 5ft 8ins or 173 cms.
My weight is currently at 114 kg, but my specialist doctor recommends I get to 90 kg. The past 12 months I have been sitting on my behind trying to get pressure sores to heal on both feet, podiatrist orders, and god knows how much longer this will continue.
When I was playing A grade rugby league in my late teens and young adulthood I weighed 13 st 8 lbs which is equal to 86.17 kg compared to 75 kg.
My arguement is when I do walk daily for an hour I do not lose weight, as in the kilos which is expected of me and when I explain this to the so called “experts”, they are very quick to say “but rest assured walking is doing the rest of your body good”- which I don’t doubt, but I quickly bring them back to the loosing weight issue, which they don’t like when I say “when we deal with the weight then we will move on and talk about the rest of the body.”
I have come to the stage that I don’t wish to talk to them anymore. I tell them about a professor who was talking on tv about diabetes medication and he openly stated that all diabetic medications make you gain weight and there again the doctors and alike don’t want to know about it and I will not stand for being told lies,so if they don’t like me they can go and fly kites for all I care……
