    Hi,
New to being a diabetic, been on tablets about month now and combined with a modified diet I was reasonably pleased with how my averages were ok and the overall trend was for the numbers to be coming down.
However the other day something happened which confused and concerned me. My pre-meal test was around 6.2 and after eating pretty much the same as I’ve been doing since I was diagnosed I found about an hour later I was getting dozzy in front of the TV.
Tested 2hrs after the meal and discovered I was 11.8, I’d not been that high since I began medication and diet changes. That explained the feeling a bit sleepy but not why, checking again in case I got a false reading I then got an 8.4, immediatly checking again I got 9.5, then checking again I got 8.6 and one last time 9.3 I gave up after that toally confused as to what was happening but feeling okay. So went to bed.
The following morning test was higher of 8.2 then what my trending has been over the fast few weeks but things gradually settled down again.
What happened the previous evening and why?

    Mike
