Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum, and just posted in the weight section, but wanted to say hello here too and introduce myself.
My name is Lisa, and I am a nurse who also has type 1 diabetes. I have done alot of research over the last while regarding the link between type 1 diabetes and eating disorders. There are a few support networks around the world, but none for us “down under”. So, I have started up a network to support, raise awareness, and advocate for those with type 1 diabetes and an eating disorder. DEDA (Diabetes and Eating Disorders Awareness) is specifically for New Zealanders and Australians, and will help anyway we can. Please pay us a visit on facebook, the URL is:

Any questions, just message me from there
Hi Lisa
welcome and thanks for that, we have been running a programme for eating disorders and type 1 for many years and support any services or support groups for this very difficult issue.
