    Hi

Do you feel you should have access to your blood and other results quicker than you do when having diabetes tests etc? Are they explained to you? Or do you feel in the dark?

    Please share!

I always suggest to my clients that they ask their doctor:

When will I come back to see you to get the test results?
OR at their next appointment – Is the test result back?
Is the result normal ie in the range recommended in your hand book for people with type 2 diabetes?
If the test result is not normal, what is the plan?

The Handbook published by the Royal College of General Parctitioners “Diabetes Management in General Practice: Guidelines for Type 2 diabetes” has the tagets for all appropriate tests. This handbook is available online at http://www.racgp.org.au/your-practice/guidelines/diabetes/ for everybody to download / read.

mmmmm…… there may be a glitch in this system. The list above had numbers on writing; the numbers are not there on publishing :)
