November 13, 2012 at 4:58 am #5209As a Diabetes Educator, I’d like to see a few general questions here in the forums. My philosophy regarding questions asked is ‘the only dumb one is the one you dont ask, dont get an answer to, and therefor stays ‘dumb’.
And besides, the ‘dumb’ ones are often the easiest to answer lol.
Come on fella’s, lets see some action here!
Kind regards,`

November 15, 2012 at 1:14 am #5227Yes, i would like to know more about neuropathy symptoms and management.
I have wondered when Lyrica is going to be put on the PBS.
Can we get this done with a group petition or something?
i find the $105 a monthly script quite difficult financially..
Does anyone else use Lyrica?
I also wonder if its normal to have sexual dysfunction as a symptom.
I’m only new here so maybe these things have been discussed,( i cant seem to figure out how to search on the forums.)
also…hi blokes, and Helen too!

HelenNovember 20, 2012 at 6:16 pm #5282Hi Helen-Edwards, thanks for your reply,
i have just read through the Men’s Sexual Health Page, and was dismayed that there is more stuff that i may have to deal with! It gets a bit frightening to know all these problems can emerge, but it has to be better to be informed and recognize one’s conditions, than not.
I didn’t know that male hormone levels were affected by Diabetes, and other things too.I have had some problems with my sexual responsiveness, but i can affirm, that a loving and understanding partner, can diffuse the anxiety and shame of not being able to be as normal as one would like. I have not tried treatments, but have with my beautiful lady, sought to vary our togetherness, and not be as reliant on the typical act of union.
I think it’s very important that consistency be maintained in attitudes to loss of erectile capacity. That is, if we are understanding in our intimacy moments, that it is not made fun of, when we are doing our daily life,..as this can linger as a loss in one’s trust and confidence.
and can i say, the most potent assistance for me,
…is a lover i believe has true and real love for me..that is the sexiest stimulating treatment for me!
